会员权益
美国浙江商会会员委员会将秉持美国浙江商会“服务浙商、引领浙商、凝聚浙商”的理念， 努力发扬浙商勤奋务实的创业精神、敢为人先的思变精神、抱团奋斗的团队精神、恪守承诺的诚信精神和创新精神，踏实做好广大会员的服务工作。

 

 

 会员标准：

1. 会员必须和浙江有紧密联系，包括成长、教育、婚姻或者事业在浙江

2. 会员必须在法定年龄

3. 会员必须已经参与商业经营

4. 会员必须遵守商会章程

5. 会员必须没有犯罪记录或者其他不合规行为

6. 会员必须按时缴纳会费

7. 会员必须符合章程中规定的其他条件

8. 会员不能参与影响商会形象、误导公众对商会印象的各类活动

9. 会员不能再未经商会董事会或者董事会任命负责人的允许滥用商会名义进行私人活动

10. 会员不能对滥用商会经费

会费：
1）年会 100美金/年，在收到会费缴纳警告后1月不缴纳会费将终止会员资格
2）终生会费：5000美金
3） 学生将获得特别减免至每年50美金。学生必须是正在进行学历教育，且将被额外邀请加入青年俱乐部进行随时更新。
 
入会手续：
1） 新会员必须有至少2名现任会员推荐人
2） 新会员需要联系会员委员会开始申请过程，联系人微信号：Flyingpig2014 以“商会会员申请”为加好友关键词​

4）新会员必须等待会员委员会申请批准
5）新会员提交会费给商会秘书处。交费方式为：

6）新会员将被邀请加入会员微信群和邮件群组。

​1. Admission of Members
Establish and amend the “Membership Criteria” from time to time
“Should”

1. Members should have a close relationship or solid connection with Zhejiang Province, including growth, education, marriage, or business experience in Zhejiang.

2. Members should be of legal age

3. Members should engage in some business

4. Members should comply with the laws

5. Members should have no crime or misconduct history

6. Members should pay the membership fee on time

7. Members should meet the other criteria defined in the laws

 
“Should not”

1. Members should not indulge in any practices or activities that could misrepresent the Chamber or bring the Chamber into disrepute

2. Members should not engage in misconduct to promote self-interest in the name of the Chamber without approval from the Board or the Board’s appointee

3. Members should not engage in misappropriation of the Chamber’s funds

 

2. Removal of Members.
     The Membership Committee can remove members based on

1. A member’s death

2. A member’s resignation

Any member may resign at any time by giving a written notice to the Membership Committee

1. A member may be removed for cause, which includes, but is not limited to

1. Conviction of a crime

2. Failure to pay the membership fee

3. Failure to comply with the Bylaws

4. Failure to meet the Membership Criteria.

 
With those causes, the Membership Committee can propose the removal of membership to the board, and the removal should be approved by a majority vote of the entire Board of Directors and conducted in accordance with Section 5341 of the Nonprofit Corporation Law of the State of California (“NCL”).
 
  3.   Standard process of admitting a new member:

1. The new member should be recommended by two or more current members

2. The new member should contact the Membership Committee to initiate the process

3. The new member should fill out the online application form to submit the official application

The form will be modified with more information required.

1. The new member should wait for the evaluation and approval of the Membership Committee

2. With the approval of membership, the new member should pay the membership fee to our accountant.

3. The new member will be invited to join the email group and WeChat groups officially.

 
The process will take about one week for individual membership applications and will take about 2 weeks for batch applications
 
4.  Membership fee
1) Annual membership fee is $100/year: without payment, the members will receive a warning, and the memberships will be terminated automatically if no fee is paid for one month.
2) Lifetime membership fee: $5000
3) Reduced the dues rates for students: $50/year. The students should be engaged in programs in pursuit of a degree. The student member will also join a junior elite club and will be tracked.

Membership benefits:
1).      Membership brings credibility to you or your business.
2).      Increase your visibility, publicity in the community.
3).      Create or expose to networking opportunities.
4).      Gain a voice in government, both in China and the US.
5).      Make business contacts and acquire customer referrals.
6).      Receive WeChat articles or browse reports on the official website.
7).      Attend chamber events and programs with member-only access or discount on event fee.
